Ethiopia Wins Boeing Grant

University of Maryland's Engineers Without Borders (EWB) is happy to announce that the Ejere Civil Works Project in Ejere, Ethiopia has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Boeing Corporation. The Ethiopia project team is honored to receive this grant, and very excited to use these funds to continue their work partnering with the Ejere community. Since the beginning of their partnership in 2009, the Ejere project team has completed three projects in the community, including a youth center building, a single-span concrete bridge, and a stormwater management system. Looking towards 2014, the Ejere project team plans to continue helping solve problems in the Ejere marketplace, including long-term development planning, urban runoff and drainage, and sanitation.
